What: BSC Winter Youth Development Clinic
  The BSC Baseball youth development clinics are designed to hone your skills in the specific areas of pitching, fielding, throwing, and hitting. These clinics will get you ready for your spring season. The clinic will help you better understand the mechanics involved with each of these skills, offer you expert instruction from the BSC staff, and give you drills that you can use at home to continue to elevate your game on your own. Each clinic will be limited in enrollment to ensure hands-on instruction with our staff.
   
Who: These clinics are open to players ages 9-12 years old with a good general baseball background as the clinics are designed with advanced drills and techniques.
   
When:

The camp will run three consecutive Sunday afternoons (Jan. 13, 20, & 27) from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m.

Pitching:
  • Mechanics of delivery from wind-up and stretch positions
  • Daily drills to improve command
  • Grips and techniques for off-speed pitches to protect your arm
  • Pick-off mechanics and techniques to control the running game
  • Instruction on pitchers fielding plays
  • Weekly pitching off mound with instruction from staff
Catching:
  • Mechanics of receiving, blocking, and throwing
  • Work on different catching stances
  • Daily drills you can use to improve your game
  • Catching pitchers with feedback on receiving
  • Technique on tag plays and fielding bunts
Hitting:
  • Swing mechanics
  • Approach and goals for each swing, each at-bat
  • Drills to take home to improve your game
  • Video analysis of your swing
 
Infield:
  • Pre-pitch routines
  • Aggressively attacking the play
  • Double play feeds/turns
  • Backhands
