BSC Tennis Complex

The Birmingham-Southern men's and women's tennis teams have called the BSC Tennis Complex home since the facility was completed, along with the adjacent BSC Softball Park, in the spring of 2001. The 12 championship courts feature a deluxe hard-court surface with each court provided with lighting for night play. When not used by the BSC Tennis Program, the courts are open for use by faculty, staff and students at Birmingham-Southern.

Because of the complex's design with the BSC Softball Park, the tennis programs have access to a full-service press facility, complete with high-speed Internet access and multiple phone line and other technology amenities, which makes it a perfect host site for fall, in- or post-season tournaments. The lower level of the press facility also contains storage space for both the men's and women's tennis squads, as well as a concession stand and restroom/locker room facilities.

The BSC Tennis Complex was completed at a cost of over $2 million and serves has home to both BSC varsity programs, as well as high school and other tennis competitions.

The BSC Tennis Complex, however, is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of facilities available to the Panther players for training, fitness and development. The Athletic Weight Training Facility is housed in the Striplin Sports Center and features state-of-the-art Cybex training equipment, as well as standard free weights. The facility is generally used by BSC student-athletes under the supervision of Strength and Conditioning Coach Scott Charland, but is available to student-athletes during off hours.

Visitors to the Hilltop have access to full-service locker room facilities in the nearby BSC Sports Center. These facilities feature separate locker rooms for both men's and women's teams, individual locker space for each player and full shower and dressing areas.
