BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern College men's and women's tennis teams are giving back this holiday season. The Panthers participated in the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program, providing items children and families need this winter.
"We wanted the teams to give back something to someone in need in our community," said head women's tennis coach Ann Dielen.
This is the first year the Panthers have contributed to the Salvation Army's program. They were able to raise $110. Because of their efforts, two children received winter coats and a new toy.
