BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern athletics department announced the winners of its awards and recognized the accomplishments of the student-athletes at its 2019 Athletic Awards Dinner Monday night in the Norton Great Hall on BSC's campus.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southern Athletic Association announced its 2018 Fall Academic Honor Roll and Birmingham-Southern Athletics had 82 student-athletes recognized. To earn the honor, student-athletes must have a 3.25 grade point average or higher at the end of the semester.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – To complete reconstruction of the combined Interstate 20 and Interstate 59 route through downtown Birmingham, the elevated highway will be closed between the Elton B. Stephens/Red Mountain Expressway and Interstate 65. This will affect students, employees, and visitors to the BSC campus.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern College Athletic Department today announced that it has entered into a 5-year partnership with NIKE through BSN SPORTS. The agreement, which will commence on July 1, 2019, is part of BSN SPORTS Collegiate Select program, which aims to make BSN SPORTS a one-stop provider for all collegiate athletic, intramural, club and staff apparel and equipment to all D1, D2, D3, NJCAA and NAIA schools.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern Director of Athletics Kyndall Waters has announced the hiring of Demetrius Bailey as the departments strength and conditioning coach. This is a new position at BSC. Bailey will work with the coaching staffs to prepare all 475-plus student-athletes to be competitive in their respective sports.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern College Hall of Fame class of 2017 was inducted Friday night. Bill Cowgill, Kathryn Carroll, Preston Goldfarb, and the 1995 men’s soccer team joined the long list of Panthers immortalized in the hall.
ATLANTA – The SAA announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll today for the 2017 spring term and a total of 1,033 student-athletes made the list. To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern athletics followed up a historic season of championships with another year of top teams, titles, and broken records. The Panthers accounted for two NCAA Division III National Championships, five conference titles, 39 all-region selections, and over 100 all-conference nods among other honors.
ATLANTA – The Southern Athletic Association announced the 2017 Spring Sports All-Sportsmanship Teams and 79 student-athletes among the league’s eight full-time members received recognition. Formed in 2011, the SAA places a special emphasis on good sportsmanship and fair play among all competitors.
