Rachel Morris, originally from Huntsville, Ala., joined the Birmingham-Southern Athletic Training staff in July of 2015 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Rachel's primary coverage responsibilities are: football, cross country, and track and field. Rachel is a nationally certified athletic trainer by the NATABOC and is licensed by the Alabama Board of Athletic Trainers.
Rachel is a 2008 graduate of the University of Alabama-Huntsville with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. She then went to Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Mass., where she received a Master's of Education in Athletic Training in 2010. During her two years at BSU, Rachel assisted covering soccer, field hockey, and volleyball at Bridgewater State; football and volleyball at Massachusetts Maritime Academy; as well as lacrosse and baseball at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I. Rachel is also a certified Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys weight lifting, cheering on her husband at AutoCross, and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband, Joe, were married in April 2013, and the couple resides in Hoover, Ala.
