Kyndall Waters, a native of Homewood, Ala., and 2005 Birmingham-Southern alumna, began her tenure as BSC's Athletics Director on June 1, 2016, after serving as Assistant A.D. and Compliance Director for nine years.
Prior to being named Assistant A.D. in 2007, she worked in BSC’s Athletic Marketing Department for two years, and during the 2005-06 season she served as Birmingham-Southern Athletic Intern. Waters also served as BSC’s Assistant Volleyball Coach for four seasons, from 2008-2012.
Waters is a 2005 BSC graduate with a Bachelor of Science in psychology, and she went on to earn her Master of Human Environmental Science with a concentration in Sport Management from The University of Alabama in 2006.
Waters is a member of the BSC Sports Hall of Fame, becoming the school's first volleyball player to be inducted. As a student-athlete on the Hilltop during Birmingham-Southern’s NCAA Division I era, Waters, a setter, was a team captain all four seasons and broke almost every setting record in the books. She also earned Big South Conference All-Academic and Big South Presidential Honor Roll accolades, Strength and Conditioning All-American honors, and was the President and Co-Founder of BSC’s chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Additionally, Waters was a member of the Dean’s List, Mortar Board Honor Society, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. She was also a member of Chi Omega Fraternity, and served as an advisor after graduation.
