    Weather Stops Falcon Invite, Panthers Compete Well MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Severe weather in the region halted the Montevallo Falcon Track and Field Classic Saturday, but the Birmingham-Southern men’s and women’s track and field teams were already competing tough. The men were in sixth place after 15 events and the women were 11th after 18 events against NCAA Division I-III opponents.

    No. 7 Panthers Complete Comeback, Sweep Hendrix CONWAY, Ark. – No. 7 Birmingham-Southern baseball scored eight unanswered runs to come back and defeat Hendrix College 8-7 in game one of the Southern Athletic Association doubleheader Saturday afternoon. The Panthers (18-5, 7-1 SAA) then shutout Hendrix to win game two 3-0 off the arm of Stephen Himic (Birmingham, Ala./Indian Springs HS), who went a full seven innings and didn’t walk a single one of the 29 batters he faced.

    Panthers Hold Off Hendrix in 17-16 Win on Senior Day BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s lacrosse held on to its halftime lead against Hendrix College on a rainy Saturday evening to win 17-16 on senior day in Krulak Stadium. BSC (5-6) improved to 2-3 in Southern Athletic Association play with the win.

    Big First Half Halts Panthers at Rhodes MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Rhodes College used a big first half to upend the Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team 17-9 Saturday afternoon on Crain Field. BSC moved to 4-6 overall and 1-1 in Southern Athletic Association play with the loss.

    BSC Drops Conference Opener 5-4 to Millsaps BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s tennis team fell 5-4 at home in their Southern Athletic Association opener against Millsaps College Friday afternoon. BSC (3-5, 0-1 SAA) won two of the three doubles matches to take an early lead.

    Panthers Drop Night Series to No. 1 Berry BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team came out tough in game one of its Southern Athletic Association doubleheader against No. 1 Berry College Friday night. BSC (12-12, 6-7 SAA) trailed by just one run heading into the top of the seventh inning of game one, but eventually fell 7-4, and 13-1 in the nightcap.

    ICYMI: Panthers Competed Well at NCAA Championships SHENANDOAH, Texas – Birmingham-Southern swimming and diving had a great week at the NCAA Division III Championships. Freshmen Noah Young (Clinton, Miss/Clinton HS) and Becca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS) were named All-Americans and Chaz Brouillette (Cullman, Ala./Cullman HS) finished top 20 in the country in the 1-meter diving competition.
