Women’s Swimming named Scholar All-America Team
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the third consecutive year, Birmingham-Southern College women’s swimming was named one of the College Swimming Coaches Association of American Scholar All-America teams, the organization announced Wednesday. Only teams with a program grade point average of 3.00 or higher receive the honor. The Panthers finished with a 3.21 team GPA.

Jones Named Assistant AD for Media Relations, Erreca Moves to Compliance
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Birmingham-Southern College Athletics Director Kyndall Waters has named Jennifer Jones the new assistant athletic director for media relations. Jones takes over for Sarah Erreca, who shifted to assistant A.D. for compliance this summer.

Birmingham-Southern Ranks 55th in Director's Cup
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Birmingham-Southern College athletics successful 2015-16 season ranks among the best in all of NCAA Division III. The Panthers finished the year ranked 55th out of 323 in the final Learfield Sports Director’s Cup standings, the organization released Monday. This is the highest ranking for BSC since the 2012-13 season, where they also finished 55th.

Volleyball Announces 2016 Recruiting Class
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern College women’s volleyball will welcome its largest recruiting class since 2012 this fall, Head Coach Jeff White announced Friday. The Panthers have received commitments from seven prospective student-athletes.

Watkins wins silver in 200-meter dash at NCAA Championship, Luster places 17th in triple jump
WAVERLY, Iowa—Sophomore Jamal Watkins won his second silver medal of the year this weekend at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Waverly, Iowa, placing second in the 200-meter dash. Freshman Cameron Luster also competed, finishing 17th in the triple jump.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Head Coach Kenneth Cox and sophomore sprinter Jamal Watkins have added more honors to their resumes, being named South/Southeast Region Head Coach and Men's Track Athlete of the Year, respectively, by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

No. 5 Panthers defeat Thomas More, fall to No. 9 Shenandoah in NCAA South Regional
MOUNT BERRY, Ga.—After defeating Thomas More College 16-9 this afternoon, the No. 5 Birmingham-Southern baseball team was eliminated from the NCAA South Regional with a come-from-behind 10-8 loss to No. 9 Shenandoah this evening at Bowdoin Field on the campus of Berry College.
