TROY, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the 2008 season, Saturday, at the Coach "O" Invitational, hosted by Troy University. The Panther men finished third overall, while the women finished fifth.
On the men's side, Forrest Boughner (16:17) and Justin Leach (16:34) finished eighth and 10th, respectively, in the 5k run, followed by Blake McDaniel (16:45) at 11th, Richard Tsao (17:16) at 18th, Reed Kramer (17:36) at 24th, Jack Heath (17:54) at 25th, James Watters (18:14) at 28th, and Alex Darden (19:21) at 34th.
For the women, Mary Elaine Williamson was the Panthers' top finisher at fifth with a two-mile time of 12:00, followed by Emily Moore (12:35) at 18th, Caitlin Hodges (12:39) at 21st, Maggie Zernick (13:31) at 34th, Katelyn Carroll (13:34) at 35th, Terza Weston (13:34) at 36th, Katie Sack (13:36) at 37th, and Hannah Scott (16:34) at 61st.
