Men's Soccer adds Clint Lum and Shalom Gildin

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Preston Goldfarb announced two signings for the 2009 season this afternoon. The Panthers have commitments from Clint Lum of Pearland, Texas and Shalom Gildin of Frostproof, Florida.
Clint Lum will play in the keeper's position for the Panthers. In high school, he led his team to the 2006 Regional Finals as well as a 2008 Bi-District Championship at Pearland High School for coach Tom Jones. Clint also played club-ball with the Eclipse Soccer Club where he won the 2006 South Texas State Championship and participated in the 2008 State Final.
Shalom Gildin comes to the Hilltop as a defender. He helped his high school team to the 2008 District Championship as a four year starter for coach Gurney Masters at Frostproof High School. Over his high school career, Shalom amassed a 31-7-10 record. Shalom also played for the LA Select Club team in high school and was a member of the USA National Maccabi Team. Shalom traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina to play in the Pan American Maccabi Games in 2007.
Said Coach Goldfarb, "As we look to the 2009 season, we are very excited about our first two players to commit to play for our team. Shalom, as a defender, and Clint, as a goalkeeper, will certainly strengthen us in their respective positions. We are very pleased to welcome them into the BSC Men's Soccer Family."
