GREENCASTLE, Ind. - The Birmingham-Southern Panthers traveled north to Indiana today for the final road game of the 2009 season to take on DePauw in Greencastle. Field conditions were miserable on the rain-battered pitch, but the Tigers found a way to net two goals while the Panthers came up empty. The loss moves BSC to 10-4-2 on the season with three matches to play.
The Tigers got book-end goals on the day, scoring first in the fourth minute and again at the end of the match in the 75th. DePauw outshot the Panthers 15-9 on the day, including 8-6 on-goal.
The Panthers will try to move on from a disapointing road trip this week as they return to BSC Soccer Park to wrap up the 2009 season. They will take on Colorado College on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. for the first of three remaining home games.
