GREENCASTLE, Ind. -
Linda Amaya scored the lone goal in the seventh minute today at DePauw to give the Panthers their eleventh win of the season.  The Panthers' 1-0 win over the Tigers puts their overall record at 11-7 on the season.

Field conditions were less than ideal, but the Panthers did not let that effect their game.  The Tigers out-shot BSC both overall, 11-10, and on-goal, 5-4, but steady play in goal from keeper Ruth Hanks kept DePauw off the board.

Amaya scored the game-winner just under seven minutes into the match, unassisted for her eighth goal of the season.

Whitney Smith got her first college start in the match and also played well in defense for the Panthers.

Coach Walton: "I am very happy with how our girls played today. This is a good way to end this road trip, we played our game and didn't let the conditions get to us."

The Panthers will finish up the 2009 season at home with two games next weekend.  Friday, the Panthers host the University of Dallas at 8:00 p.m. and then they will close out the season on Sunday at 1:00 against Austin College.
