ROME, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern cross country teams concluded their 2009 schedules this past weekend at the Viking Open, hosted by Berry College in Rome, Ga. The women placed second, while the men placed third.
Junior Mary Elaine Williamson was the top runner on the women's side with a 6K time of 23:52.85, placing her sixth overall. Junior Caitlin Hodges was second for the Panthers and eighth overall with a time of 24:18.39, and junior Aly Goldfarb was 10th overall with a time of 24:35.56.
For the men, junior Will Gurley placed 13th with an 8K time of 27:33.52, followed by freshman Robert Willett at 14th with a time of 27:41.19.
