BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern's Kyle Sherrin found the net twice in ten minutes to give the Panthers their eleventh win of the season, defeating the Colorado College Tigers 2-1 at BSC Soccer Park.
The win snaps a three-game scoreless streak dating back to mid October. Kyle scored the Panthers' first goal in the 75th-minute off a pass from Tyler Evans to tie the game at one goal apiece. The Tigers' Jordan Reese scored Colorado College's lone goal back in the 18th-minute, giving CC a 1-0 lead that they held for most of the match.
Just as things seemed destined for overtime Sherrin connected with Tony Crocker for his second goal of the night, giving BSC the lead and the eventual win.
Clint Lum played the full 90 in goal for the Panthers and collected five saves on the night. Shots were even with the Panthers edging the Tigers 16-15.
The Panthers will return to BSC Soccer Park on Sunday to host Austin College. Game time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
