Williamson, Willett earn SCAC Cross Country All-Sportsmanship accolades

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior Mary Elaine Williamson and freshman Robert Willett were named to the 2009 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Sportsmanship Cross Country Teams, it was announced Wednesday by the league office.
Williamson was BSC's top finisher at all six meets this season, while Willett led the team in four of six races.
Twenty-two men’s and women’s runners were selected to the 2009 squads. The full list can be seen here.
The SCAC is placing a special emphasis on sportsmanship this year – asking all fans of the conference to exhibit good sportsmanship at all conference functions throughout the 2008-2009 season. Read the SCAC Presidents’ Council statement on Fan Sportsmanship.
Each head coach was asked to elect one member from his or her team who displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season.
