Marissa Gacek to golf for the Panthers

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - BSC women's golf coach Casey Smith has announced the addition of Marissa Gacek from St Paul's High School in Mobile, Ala. to next season's squad.
Marissa was a member of the St. Paul’s Episcopal School Varsity Golf team her entire high school career. During her sophomore year, the Mobile Sunrise Rotary Club named Marissa “2007 Female Golfer of the Year.” That same year, the Lady Saints also won the 1A – 5A State Championship by over sixty strokes.
She had a very challenging academic schedule in high school but still maintained an excellent G.P.A. Furthermore, she was inducted into the National Honor Society, the National French Honor Society, and the National Society of High School Scholars during her junior year.
She will join the Panthers on the Hilltop this fall.
