Men's Lacrosse gets first conference win, 8-7 over Sewanee

SEWANEE, Tenn. -
The BSC men's lacrosse team has earned its first SCAC victory tonight on the road at the University of the South.

The Tigers (1-7, 0-1 SCAC) took an early lead, but the Panthers (4-7, 1-1 SCAC) were able to charge to the front in the second quarter.

Sewanee scored a goal to tie the game at seven with 1:30 remaining in the fourth quarter.  With the game seemingly headed to overtime, Jacob McPherson scored with just 25 seconds remaining to seal the win for BSC.

McPherson scored three goals on the night to lead the Panthers, Nicco DeRosa and Matt Ivie each had two goals apiece and D.J. Ward added one to round out 'Southern's scoring.

Cameron Overton collected 14 saves in goal for the night.

The Panthers will return to Panther Stadium next Tuesday, April 6th as they host Whittier College in non-conference action.  Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
