Sam Hill named SCAC Player of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. –
BSC catcher Sam Hill has been named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending March 7, 2010.

This is the second Player of the Week honor in as many weeks for the Panthers. Bruce Maxwell won the award for BSC last week.

During four games, Hill batted 8-for-11 at the plate for a.727 batting average while scoring eight runs, driving in six, hitting one home run and notching four doubles. He was 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles and one run in game two against Wabash on March 6.

For the week, Hill posted a 1.364 slugging percentage as well as a .824 on-base percentage to tally a 2.188 OPS (on-base plus slugging).

BSC will return to Striplin Field tomorrow to close out the current six-game homestand against Berry College. The Vikings and Panthers will get underway at 6:00 p.m. at Striplin Field.
