April 11, 2008 ATLANTA, Ga. -- The first game of Birmingham-Southern’s four-game series with Oglethorpe University was suspended due to rain on Friday night. The umpires stopped the game in the bottom of the sixth with the Panthers leading 2-0.

Oglethorpe had a runner on second with nobody out when the game was suspended. The game will be picked up at that point on Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m. (central time). The doubleheader, which was scheduled for Saturday, will instead be played on Sunday, with a single game being played on Saturday after the completion of the suspended game.
