BIRMINGHAM, Ala - The Panthers (10-3) rebounded from a tough loss to Greenville in their first game this morning to take a huge 15-2 win from the Capital Crusaders in seven. #John Naramore# earns his third win of the season with the victory.
Game one was a very low scoring affair, with both teams combining for just five runs in a full nine innings. Greenville put up two runs in the final two innings to take the win from the Panthers, snapping a seven-game win streak.
The Panthers took out their frustrations on the Crusaders in the night cap following Capital's 14-9 win over Greenville in today's second game. The Panthers scored six runs in the fifth to go up 11-2 on the Crusaders and never looked back.
#Alex Head# came up big for the men in black with three RBIs on the night. He plated two in the fifth with a driving single to right bringing in #Darby Weppner# and #Brandon Ricco#. His third came in the top of the seventh off a sacrifice fly, again to right, driving in #Dean Guidry#.
#John Naramore# went three innings in his third win of the season. He gave up three hits, two runs, four walks, and three stikeouts. Nick Brown took the loss for the Crusaders, exiting in the top of the fifth with bases loaded and no outs.
The Panthers return to Striplin Field tomorrow at noon for one more with Capital before wrapping up this weekend series.
