Baseball drops 9-3 decision at DePauw

GREENCASTLE, Ind. -
The BSC (18-6, 5-2 SCAC) baseball team dropped its first conference road game this afternoon, falling 9-3 to the Tigers of DePauw at Walker Field in Greencastle, Ind.

The Panthers were held scoreless into the fourth inning, when they scored two to tie the game at two apiece, but were never able to take the lead from the home-standing Tigers.

#Brian Higginbotham# plated BSC's first run in the fourth when he reached on a throwing error by the Tiger second baseman, scoring #Drew Leachman#.  #Alex Head# drove in the second run, scoring Higginbotham.  The final Panther run came  in the fifth off a #Brandon Ricco# home run.  The solo shot was his first of the season.

The Panthers schedule for the rest of the weekend has been moved up due to poor weather in the Greencastle area.  They will attempt to play both remaining games of the three-game set tomorrow.  First pitch is slated for 1:00 p.m. Eastern, noon Central.
