He scored on the next at-bat from Stansell to put the Panthers up 2-1.  A lead-off double in the fifth and a solo homer in the sixth, by #Jon Walker#, tacked on two more runs to give ‘Southern 4-1 lead the heading into a scoreless seventh inning.

The Panthers added a fifth run in the top of the eighth and then the bats finally got going, for both teams. Oglethorpe plated five runs on four hits in the bottom half of the inning to retake the lead, 6-5, including a three-run homerun after a pitching change.

‘Southern rallied in the top of the ninth to retake the lead with six runs on five hits, with two back-to-back homeruns from #Brandon Ricco# and #Bruce Maxwell#. The Petrels came up empty in the bottom of the ninth to set the final at 11-6.
