Brandon Ricco named 2nd Team All-American by ABCA

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern second baseman Brandon Ricco has been named to the Rawlings/ABCA All-American 2nd Team.

Ricco led the Panthers in three offensive categories, batting average (.473), on-base percentage (.511), and hits (79). He collected the most hits of any player in the SCAC, besting his teammate Drew Leachman, in second, by eight hits.

On the defensive end, Ricco posted a .976 fielding percentage on the season, committing just four errors in all 39 of the Panthers games.

This is the fourth post-season award for Ricco this season. He received the South Region Gold Glove from Rawlings and the ABCA earlier this week. He was also named to the All-South Region and All-SCAC Teams for his work this season.
