BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—After yet another successful season, five members of the Birmingham-Southern baseball team have been named to the All-South Region Team.

Junior pitcher Ryan Gaines (Dunwoody, Ga.) earned a spot on the First Team. He was also voted Southern Athletic Association Pitcher of the Year and First-Team All-Conference this season.

Junior second baseman David Scott (Atlanta, Ga.) and junior outfielder Sam Roberts (Johns Creek, Ga.) were voted Second-Team All-Region. Roberts also earned First-Team All-Conference honors this year, while Scott was a Second Team selection.

Senior third baseman Taylor McCracken (Oxford, Ala.) and junior pitcher Stephen Himic (Birmingham, Ala.) were named Third-Team All-South Region after they both were named First-Team All-SAA this season.

The Panthers went 39-13 this year for the most wins since moving to NCAA Division III starting in the 2008 season. BSC won the regular season SAA title for the third straight year, and went on to win the SAA tournament championship as well, earning a trip to the NCAA South Regional.
