  • No. 4 Panthers Squash Late Rally, Sweep Series Senior Day

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – No. 4 Birmingham-Southern baseball held off a late rally by Sewanee Sunday to take the 7-6 win in the 10th inning. The game winner was scored on a walkoff hit by pitch with one out on the board. BSC (32-6, 19-2) has now won 16 of its last 17 games heading into the Southern Athletic Association tournament.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The No. 4 Birmingham-Southern baseball team swept Sewanee Saturday in its Southern Athletic Association doubleheader to improve to 31-6 overall, 18-2 in conference play. This is the fourth consecutive year the Panthers have had 30+ win seasons, and the seventh under Head Coach Jan Weisberg.
  • No. 2 BSC Splits with Final Day With Millsaps

    JACKSON, Miss. – The No. 2 Birmingham-Southern baseball team moved to 29-6 overall after splitting with Millsaps College Saturday. The Panthers took game one 13-12, before falling 4-1 in the finale. BSC is now 16-2 against Southern Athletics Association opponents.
  • CHAMPIONS: No. 2 Panthers Clinch Regular Season Title

    JACKSON, Miss. – No. 2 Birmingham-Southern baseball clinched its fourth consecutive Southern Athletic Association regular season title Friday with an 11-3 road win over Millsaps College. BSC (28-5, 15-1 SAA) will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming tournament. They host the first rounds April 28-30.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The No. 3 Birmingham-Southern baseball team completed the sweep of Berry College Sunday afternoon, with a 4-3 win on Striplin Field. The win moved the Panthers (27-5, 14-1 SAA) one step closer to clinching the regular season title.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – No. 3 Birmingham-Southern baseball swept Southern Athletic Association rival Berry College in a conference doubleheader Saturday that moved the Panthers one step closer to clinching the regular season title. BSC (26-5, 13-1 SAA) is currently in first place in the league with seven games left. The wins today secured the Panthers at least a No. 2 seed in the tournament they will host.

    CONWAY, Ark. – No. 7 Birmingham-Southern baseball scored eight unanswered runs to come back and defeat Hendrix College 8-7 in game one of the Southern Athletic Association doubleheader Saturday afternoon. The Panthers (18-5, 7-1 SAA) then shutout Hendrix to win game two 3-0 off the arm of Stephen Himic (Birmingham, Ala./Indian Springs HS), who went a full seven innings and didn’t walk a single one of the 29 batters he faced.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – No. 4 Birmingham-Southern baseball loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth inning Wednesday night against No. 1 Emory University, but the Eagles held on for the 4-1 win. BSC moved to 14-4 with the loss. Emory is now 16-2 on the year.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – No. 4 Birmingham-Southern baseball earned a 5-4 walk-off win against Oglethorpe University Saturday night after an hour and 45 minute rain delay pushed the start time back. BSC (14-3, 3-0 SAA) swept their series against the Stormy Petrels with the win.
  • No. 4 Panthers Sweep SAA Season Opener

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The No. 4 Birmingham-Southern baseball team swept Oglethorpe University 7-4 and 5-2 to open Southern Athletic Association play 2-0 this season. The Panthers’ bullpen struck out 24 batters and gave up just six earned runs over the two games to help the team improve to 13-3 overall.
  • Weisberg Gets 300th, No. 3 Panthers Sweep Day

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The No. 3 Birmingham-Southern baseball team gave Head Coach Jan Weisberg his 300th win at BSC with their two-game sweep Saturday, making him the fastest coach in program history to hit the mark. The Panthers defeated University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh 6-3 and then took down Transylvania 6-2 in the nightcap to improve to 11-3 on the year.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second straight game, No. 5 Birmingham-Southern baseball had a home run in Striplin Field. The Panthers used a big third inning to defeat Concordia (TX) 8-2 and improve to 5-1 on the year. BSC has now won three straight and are currently 2-0 at home.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The No. 5 Birmingham-Southern baseball team used a grand slam and solo homer to help catapult them to a 13-5 win over Concordia (Texas) in their home opener Friday evening. The Panthers improve to 4-1 on the year with the win.
  • Big Ninth Inning Leads No. 5 Panthers Over LaGrange

    LAGRANGE, Ga. – The No. 5 Birmingham-Southern baseball team used a big ninth inning to pull out an 8-5 road win over LaGrange College Tuesday evening. With the score tied 5-5 after the seventh inning, the Panthers put up three runs in the top of the ninth to earn the win and improve to 3-1 overall on the year.
  • Walk-off Single Downs No. 5 Panthers at Piedmont

    DEMOREST, Ga. – The No. 5 Birmingham-Southern baseball team dropped its first game of the season 4-3 Sunday evening on the road at Piedmont College. The Lions hit a two-out, walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to earn the win. BSC is now 2-1 on the year. Piedmont moved to 4-1 overall.
  • Big Bats Lead No. 5 Panthers over Christopher Newport

    DEMOREST, Ga. – The No. 5 Birmingham-Southern baseball team routed Christopher Newport 15-5 Saturday afternoon at Loudermilk Field. The Panthers combined for 18 hits on the day.
