BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern baseball team moved up to No. 22 in the latest D3Baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association national poll, released Tuesday.
The Panthers broke back into the top 25 on April 23 and since then have gone on to win three straight games in the Southern Athletic Association Tournament and advance to the conference championship series on May 4-5.
The No. 22 ranking is the highest BSC has been placed in the poll this season.
Birmingham-Southern will host Rhodes College in the 2019 SAA Tournament Championship Series this weekend on May 4-5. Game times are currently set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 and 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 5. If necessary, a tie-breaker will be played following game two on Sunday.
