August 7, 2008 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Head Coach Eddie Garfinkle and his staff will welcome members of the 2008 Birmingham-Southern football team to campus this weekend for the beginning of preseason practice for the second season of football on the Hilltop since 1939.

Players report to campus this Friday, Aug. 8, and will have physicals and equipment assigned to them on Saturday, Aug. 9.

The Panthers’ first practice is scheduled take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10, at the BSC Athletic Complex in shirts, shorts and helmets. BSC will also practice on Monday, Aug. 11, at 4 p.m.

BSC kicks of the 2008 season on Saturday, Aug. 30, traveling to face Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C., at 12 p.m. CT.
