Third practice in the books for BSC FootballBIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Under cloudy, drizzly skies, the Birmingham-Southern football squad held the third practice of its 2008 preseason camp, Tuesday morning at the BSC Athletic Complex.
The team donned shoulder pads for the first time today, but is still unable to practice in full pads yet.
“I was impressed with the offense today,” head coach Eddie Garfinkle said. “If they keep working hard, they’ve got a chance to be good. Defensively, we were disappointed in the effort, and that starts with leadership from the returning players.”
The team is slated to practice tomorrow and Thursday at 4 p.m., with the Panthers’ first two-a-day scheduled for this Friday at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. BSC will then scrimmage on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m.
