“Both practices went well today,” head coach Eddie Garfinkle said. “In the afternoon, we put in our short yardage and goal line packages. We also worked a lot of third and fourth down situations. Wide receiver Tony Myers [Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS] had a good day catching the football and blocking. Tyler Worley [Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS] is starting to come on at linebacker with some big hits. Kicker Raymond Josof [Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS] kicked the ball well at the end of practice, when we put the kickers in pressure situations.”
After Saturday’s intra-squad scrimmage at 9:30 a.m., the Panthers are off on Sunday but return full-force on Monday, practicing at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
