Mitch Moreland to speak to Panther Football team today
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—In preparation for its season finale against Millsaps College this weekend, the Birmingham-Southern football team will hear from Texas Rangers star Mitch Moreland.
Moreland, who is the nephew of BSC Assistant Coach Dyer Carlisle, played collegiate baseball at Mississippi State. He posted the best batting average in this year's World Series against the San Francisco Giants. Moreland plans to make Birmingham his residence during this off-season.
BSC kicks off against Millsaps this Saturday at 1 p.m. at Panther Stadium. The team's 18 seniors will be honored in pregame festivities.
