Morris was voted to the First Team, while Shannon made the Third Team.
Morris, a tailback from Pensacola, Fla., was named SCAC Offensive Player-of-the-Year and First-Team All-SCAC this season. In just nine games, he finished with 1,449 yards rushing – the third most in the 50-year history of the conference – and 17 touchdowns in leading the Panthers to a 7-2 record, the most wins for the program since reinstating football in 2007. A two-time selection to the D3football.com Team-of-the-Week, he also had a team-high 17 receptions for 131 yards. Morris had a record-setting game in BSC's season finale against Millsaps, rushing for a program- and league-record 332 yards in the 35-21 win.
Shannon, a safety from Trussville, Ala., was also named First-Team All-Conference after leading the team with 67 tackles (41 solo, 26 assisted) this past season. He also recorded four interceptions, tying him for second in the conference, as well as five tackles-for-loss, three pass breakups, and one forced fumble. Shannon was named to the 2011 CoSIDA Academic All-Region Team, and was also named SCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week on Sept. 12 and named to the D3football.com Team of the Week on Dec. 13.
