BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Standing at 2-0 on the season, the 18th-ranked Birmingham-Southern football team returns home this Saturday to face second-year program Ave Maria University at noon in Panther Stadium.
This will be the second meeting between the schools, who played last year in Naples, Fla., in AMU's first season. The Panthers won that game 43-7.
Saturday will be the first official game of the season for the Gyrenes, although they won an exhibition game against Cape Coast Sports Academy, 41-0, back on Sept. 1.
