BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—After a win against Rhodes this past weekend to move to 4-0 on the season, the Birmingham-Southern football team moved up to 16th in the nation in the D3football.com Top 25.
The Panthers were ranked 18th for the past two weeks. They received 241 points, one point behind Baldwin-Wallace. Mount Union topped the poll for the second straight week, receiving 23 first-place votes. Mary Hardin-Baylor ranked second with two first-place votes. Wesley College, who BSC will face on the road on Oct. 6, is ranked sixth for the second straight week.
BSC is the only Southern Athletic Association program ranked in the Top 25, although Centre College is receiving votes. The Panthers were also ranked 13th in the nation in last week's American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Coaches' Poll.
The Panthers are at home this weekend, facing Austin College on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Panther Stadium.
