Nick Gordon named SAA Football Defensive Player of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga.—Senior linebacker Nick Gordon (Franklin, Tenn.) has been named the Southern Athletic Association Football Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced today.

Gordon helped lead the 13th-ranked Panthers to a 16-2 win against Rhodes this past Saturday, moving the team to 4-0 on the season. He recorded 10 tackles, including seven solo tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a pass break-up.

BSC plays at home this week, facing Austin College on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Panther Stadium.
