Panthers Fall 38-12 at Berry

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern football team dropped its last game of the 2016 season at Berry College 38-12 Saturday in Valhalla Stadium.  The Panthers close the year 1-9 overall, 1-8 in Southern Athletic Association play.

 

Kerrigan Pennington (Wagerville, Ala./Washington County HS) led the team in passing and rushing yards.  He connected on 11-of-17 passes for 112 yards and rushed for 71 more.

 

Jamal Watkins (Hampton, Ga./Dodge City CC) and Daniel Lopera (Kennesaw, Ga./Mount Paran Christian School) were Pennington's go to men.  Watkins earned a team-best 53 yards and Lopera picked up 49 receiving yards of his own, respectively.

 

Dylan Main (Navarre, Fla./Navarre HS) led the defense with five tackles., three solo.  And Ernest Tiller (Grayson, Ga./Grayson) intercepted a ball and took it back 16 yards.
