    ATLANTA – The Southern Athletic Association released the 2018 Fall Season All-Sportsmanship Teams on Thursday.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After a season with already multiple program records shattered, Birmingham-Southern football set another by earning the most Southern Athletic Association All-Conference honors in program history.  Headlined by Gentry Neese (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin HS), who was named SAA Newcomer of the Year, BSC placed 15 Panthers on All-SAA teams.
  • Three Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern football team saw three Panthers named Google Cloud Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America.  Seniors Matthew Byers (Pelham, Ala./John Carroll Catholic HS) and Trent Rigby (Tyrone, Ga./Sandy Creek HS), and junior Austin Lewter (Tanner, Ala./Tanner HS) were recognized as some of the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
  • Football Closes Season with Loss to Centre

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern football ended its 2018 season with the most wins the program has seen since 2012.  The Panthers (6-4) fell to Southern Athletic Association rival Centre College 56-20 Saturday to finish 4-4 in conference play.

  • Panthers Dominate Early in 34-17 Road Win Over Millsaps

    JACKSON, Miss. – The Birmingham-Southern football defense blanked Millsaps College in the first half of their Southern Athletic Association matchup Saturday to help the Panthers win 34-17 on the road.  BSC (6-3, 4-3 SAA) has now posted the most wins in a season the program has seen since 2012.
  • Slow Start Hurts Panthers in Loss to No. 10 Berry

    MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Birmingham-Southern football dropped its first game in four weeks Saturday in a tough 26-10 decision against No. 10 Berry College.  After a slow start, BSC (5-3) outscored the Vikings in the second half, but fell short to move to 3-3 against Southern Athletic Association opponents.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern football moved to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in Southern Athletic Association play with its 47-35 win over Austin College Saturday afternoon in Krulak Stadium.  The Panthers have now won three straight.

    SEWANEE, Tenn. – A fourth quarter field goal and second half defensive stand by the Birmingham-Southern football team helped lift the Panthers to its 13-10 road win over Southern Athletic Association rival Sewanee Saturday night.  The win marked BSC’s second consecutive conference win, who moved to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in league play.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern football team scored eight touchdowns en route to its 57-41 conference win over Hendrix College at Krulak Stadium Saturday afternoon.  With the win, BSC (3-2) improved to 1-2 against Southern Athletic Association opponents.

    SAN ANTONIO, Texas. – The Birmingham-Southern football team dropped its first road game of the season at Trinity University Saturday afternoon.  BSC (2-2) fell 24-17 to the Tigers and moved to 0-2 in the Southern Athletic Association.

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern football team improved to 2-0 on the year by overpowering Huntingdon College down the stretch, winning 41-35 on the road Saturday night.  The win brings the Wesley Cup back to the Hilltop for the first time since 2015.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the past three years, Birmingham-Southern football has participated in Be The Match to help recruit potential bone marrow donors. This year, the Panthers partnered with the Andy Talley Bone Marrow Foundation for a “Get in the Game. Save a Life.” event and recruited 54 new donors to the Be The Match Registry.
