Gerald Anderson joined the BSC football staff in March 2011. Prior to coming to the Hilltop, Anderson served as an assistant varsity football coach at Ware County High School in Waycross, Ga., for four seasons.
Anderson was a four-year letterman on the defensive line at the University of Georgia, graduating with a degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies in 2005. He was part of a senior class that notched the most wins over a four-year span (52) in program history. Anderson helped the Bulldogs win three SEC Eastern Division Championships (2002, 2003, 2005) and two SEC Championships (2002, 2005). He played in two BSC Sugar Bowl Games (2002, 2005), and helped UGA to win the Sugar Bowl in 2002.
Anderson went on to receive his Master's Degree from Troy University in 2009, and Specialist Degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2011.
He is married to Denise Ethridge Anderson, and the couple lives in Birmingham.
