Josh Taylor joined the BSC Football coaching staff in the spring of 2013, coming to the Hilltop after a stint at Sewanee.
With the Tigers, Taylor was Assistant Coach from 2008-2012, mostly working with the defensive line but also the linebackers. He served as Special Teams Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator in the 2011 and 2012 seasons, and was Strength & Conditioning Coach from 2008-2012. In the spring of 2011, he also served as Interim Head Coach, and he was Defensive Coordinator in the 2012 season.
Prior to his time at Sewanee, Taylor worked at Samford, his alma mater, serving as Defensive Assistant Coach, Video Coordinator, and Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach from 2006-2007. In the fall of 2005, he was an Assistant Varsity Football Coach at Pleasant Grove High School in Pleasant Grove, Ala.
Taylor was a four-year letterman at Samford and was a Team Captain in 2004 and 2005. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in 2005.
