Commander, Lamere named to Capital One Academic All-District Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Senior women's golfer Jennifer Commander and junior women's tennis player Raeann Lamere have been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team.

Commander is a senior from Auburn, Ala., majoring in Spanish and English with a 3.74 grade point average. Lamere is a junior from Dothan, Ala., majoring in Biology with a 3.70 grade point average.

Commander has been an NGCA All-American Scholar while also leading the Panthers on the links, earning First-Team All-SCAC honors this year after finishing fourth at the SCAC Championship.

Lamere was an ITA Scholar Athlete and went 18-1 this season in singles play and 12-7 in doubles.

Both Commander and Lamere are also members of the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.
