After leading for the first eight minutes of the game, BSC went cold from the floor and the Colonels used a 17-6 run to go up 26-16 by the 2:57 mark of the first half. BSC was able to cut it to five courtesy of a jumper from sophomore Kevin Kegarise and a three-pointer from junior Jasen Jonus, but the Colonels made a bucket with 21 seconds left to go back up by seven, 28-21, and would take the lead into the halftime break.

Centre maintained their lead for the remainder of the game, with BSC only able to cut it to five, three times, before the Colonels put the game out of reach down the stretch with a 14-2 run, eventually winning by 17.
