Larry Thomas voted NABC Third-Team All-America

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—After earning All-Region and All-District honors earlier this week, junior Larry Thomas has been voted Third-Team Coaches' Division III All-America by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division III, Thomas and the other student-athletes honored represent the finest basketball players across America.

Thomas was voted NABC First-Team All-District this past Tuesday, and was named D3hoops.com First-Team All-Region on Monday. He was also voted 2014 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Offensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-SAA.

Thomas led the league in scoring this past season averaging 19.3 points a game as well as a second-best 7.5 rebounds a contest. He had eight double-doubles, including a career-high 12 caroms against Millsaps, Dec. 1, and scored over 20 points in 12 games, including a career-high 40 points against Huntingdon, Jan. 21. Thomas also led the SAA with 2.3 steals a game, and shot over 47 percent from the field and over 40 percent from three-point range for the season. On Jan. 31 against Berry College he passed 1,000 career points, and ended the season with 1,182 points, putting him at ninth on BSC's all-time scoring list.
