Crain voted CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern junior John Crain has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

To be eligible for the award, a student-athletes must be a varsity starter or important reserve and hold at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average.

Crain, a guard from Hoover, Ala., is a double major in mathematics and economics and holds a 3.98 grade point average. He is averaging 7.5 points and 1.7 rebounds per game while shooting .529 from the field, .506 from three-point range, and .786 at the free throw line.

Crain and the Panthers are at home this weekend for the final home games of the season, hosting Centre on Friday at 8 p.m., and Sewanee on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Bill Battle Coliseum.
