Larry Thomas named NABC All-America

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Senior Birmingham-Southern men's basketball player Larry Thomas has earned Third-Team All-America honors for the second straight season from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), the organization announced today.

Thomas, a guard from Atlanta, Ga., was recently selected to play in the NCAA Division III Reese's All-Star Game, played this weekend prior to the Division III championship game in Salem, Va. He also earned First-Team All-South Region honors from D3hoops.com and repeated as the Southern Athletic Association Player of the Year.

Thomas also became BSC's all-time leading scorer this season, scoring 1,666 career points in his four years on the Hilltop. He was also a First-Team All-Conference selection after leading the league in scoring for the second straight season, averaging 17.9 points per game. Thomas was also second in the SAA with 54 steals and fourth with an .833 free throw percentage.
