BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Sophomore Harrison Deneka has been named the Southern Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced today.
Deneka, a forward from Memphis, Tenn., helped BSC go 3-1 over the past two weeks, including three straight wins at home. He scored 80 points, averaging 20 a game and leading the team in scoring three times, including a career-high 29 points against Covenant on Dec. 12. Deneka and also pulled down 27 rebounds for an average of 6.8 a game, and shot 53.7 percent from the field and 72.2 percent at the free throw line. He also had five steals, four blocks, and four assists.
