BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The BSC men's golf team wrapped up play at the Samford Intercollegiate this afternoon at Limestone Springs Golf Course in Oneonta, Ala. The Panthers climbed one spot in the standings to finish in 13th place.
The Panthers 926 over the three rounds of the tournament, ten strokes ahead of the Univeristy of Evansville. #Nick Blakely# led the way for BSC in two of the three rounds. He finished with 224 for the tournament in a tie for 20th overall. He finished two under par in the second round and one under this afternoon, posting the best two rounds for any Panther in the field.
Murray State University took the team championship with a combined 859 or five under par as a team for the tournament. Clayton State's Will Wilcox won the individual title on the second hole of a playoff with Murray State's Cameron Carrico. They both shot par on the 1st hole before Wilcox won it on the 18th.
The Panthers' next tournament is the Grub Mart Intercollegiate at the Silver Lakes Golf Course in Gadsden, Ala. Jacksonville State is hosting the tournament.
