Clay Bounds finishes second, Panthers place fourth at Wynlakes Wynter Nationals

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Junior Clay Bounds shot a 69 in today’s second round of the Wynlakes Wynter Nationals, hosted by Huntingdon College, to finish second overall after losing a playoff to Huntingdon’s Chase Blaich.
The Panthers finished fourth overall with a team total of 610, just one stroke behind third-place LaGrange College.
Bounds shot 74 yesterday for a two-day total of 143. Junior Nick Blakely finished 10th overall with a two-round total of 151, junior Matt Laughridge carded 155 to place 19th, freshman Matt Kelly finished 33rd with a total of 161, and freshman Thomas Ray was 35th with 163.
The Panthers are back on the links on March 1 at the Huntingdon Callaway Invitational at Callaway Gardens Golf Club in Montgomery.
