Men's Golf finishes sixth at SAA Championship

BRASELTON, Ga.—The Birmingham-Southern men's golf team finished in sixth place at the 2014 Southern Athletic Association Championship this weekend, hosted by Oglethorpe University at Chateau Elan Golf Club in Braselton, Ga.

The Panthers carded a 915 three-day total, led by freshman Jonathan Cook with 226 (80-71-75), who tied for fifth.

Centre won the title with a total of 871, led by the individual champion Grant Blevins, who carded 211 (74-68-69).

The BSC women's team placed fifth with a three-round total of 1036, led by senior Ellen Chun who shot 234 (78-80-76) to tie for fifth and earn First-Team All-SAA honors. Rhodes won the women's crown today with a team total of 947, while Sewanee's Alison Eleey, playing as an individual, won the individual title after shooting 227 (74-78-75).
