Raney Hits Hole-in-One; Panthers Tied for First

DANVILLE, Ind. – Freshman Gunnar Raney (Tampa, Fla./Plant HS) hit a hole-in-one on the 16th hole Saturday en route to a team low score of 75 and a tie for fourth place at the Dan Quayle Collegiate Classic.  The Panthers are tied for first place after the first round at the Twin Bridges Golf Club.

 

Four of the teams five scores were under 80.  Steven LaMay  (Parkland, Fla./Westminster Academy) also shot 75 in the first round.  Both Blake Schambeau (Hoover, Ala./Hoover HS) and Conley Miller (Hoover, Ala./Spain Park HS) shot 78, respectively to tie for 20th place.

 

The action continues with the final round on Sunday in Danville, Ind.
