Panthers in Fourth After Day One

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's golf team is in fourth place after day one of the Royal Lakes/Oglethorpe Fall Invitational.  The Panthers shot two under par as a team and are currently four strokes behind the leaders.

 

All five golfers shot under 80.

 

Steven LaMay (Parkland, Fla./Westminster Academy) and Conley Miller (Hoover, Ala./Spain Park HS) are currently tied for fourth with a team best score of 70.

 

Both Torben Krieger (Ruppichteroth, Germany/Bodelschwingh-Gymnasium Herchen) and Blake Schambeau (Hoover, Ala./Hoover HS) shot a 73 and Gunnar Raney (Tampa, Fla./Plant HS) finished the round with a 76.

 

Play continues tomorrow morning at Royal Lakes Golf Course in Flowery Branch, Ga.
