BSC sweeps weekly SCAC Men's Lacrosse awards
SUWANEE, Ga.—Freshman Erik Klein and senior Chris Clarke were named SCAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players-of-the-Week for games played Monday, March 5, through Sunday, March 11, the league office announced today.
Klein, an attacker from Coquitlam, British Columbia, led BSC in its win against Piedmont on Wednesday with eight goals and scored four in the win against UMass Boston on Sunday. He also added three total assists for a weekly total of 15 points. Klein collected six total ground balls (3 per game) as well.
Clarke, a senior long stick midfielder from Decatur, Ga., helped to anchor the BSC defensive effort in the Panthers' two wins, recording eight ground balls against Piedmont and seven against UMB. He also had five caused turnovers and was 12-of-14 on face-offs for the week. Against Piedmont, Clarke also recorded an assist on BSC's ninth goal of the game.
