Men's Lacrosse shuts out Oglethorpe, 24-0

ATLANTA—The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team shut out Oglethorpe today, 24-0, in a road conference game.

The Panthers move to 9-3 overall and 4-1 in the league.

Freshman Erik Klein led with four goals, while junior Matt Ivie and freshman John Sommerall added three apiece. Senior Jacob McPherson and sophomore Michael Sanicola had three assists each, and senior Chris Clarke led with 11 ground balls.

Junior goalkeeper Andrew Huffman played nearly the entire game, recording one save. Sophomore Connor Carman came in near the end of the game and also made one save.

BSC out-shot the Stormy Petrels 56-6 and had over twice as many ground balls, 56-25. The Panthers were also 7-8 on clears and won 14-25 face-offs.

The Panthers stay on the road for their next two games, taking on Millsaps next Friday, April 13, and Rhodes next Sunday, April 15.
